Wednesday 26th

Well it's been a week or two since I've published posts regularly, so I think it's time to get to work again! Since I can't reveal any wedding dress pictures I've dug out some more unfinished bits and pieces to chip away at to keep things interesting on here!
I've found a combination that i think will be fun together- a fluorescent yellow corset and some reflective scales. I feel a peculiar hi-viz creation coming on!

A couple of exhibition shots

Here are a couple of panoramic shots from the exhibition. Unfortunately I don't have any new sewing to show at the moment as I've been doing some top secret wedding dress work for my sister! I am doing a workshop at the exhibition next week though so soon I shall have some sneaky previews of what form that shall take...

New laminate floor!

A friend who is redecorating let me have his old laminate floor, which two further friends helped me to install this evening! The surface underneath is a little uneven so it may not last forever, but it's good for now at least. Woohoo! It doesn't cover the whole room sadly, so we put some screws into the end row of panels to stop them all from slipping out. There was even a brief outing for the angle grinder to remove some annoying bolts. Now I'm all ready to make wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses without the risk of fabric going on the stone floor.

Something a little different!

I'm making some flags for a friend's holiday kids club, it was nice to get my paint out and sit in the sun! It's something I've not had a go at for a while.
